Exercise 1: Introduction (1 minute): 
  1. Where did you complete your internship? (Company, organization, or institution)
  2. What was the focus or industry of the internship? (e.g., healthcare, business, education, etc.)
  3. How did you secure (=find) the internship?

  1. What were your day-to-day duties? (e.g., assisting with projects, conducting research, interacting with clients)
  2. Describe any special projects or tasks that stood out to you.

Instructions on how to present

  • You will present in English. 
  • The presentation will be given during class time. 
  • The topic is about your internship (LOB stage). 
  • Try to find appropriate vocabulary, grammar and information.

Instructions on how to present

  • Each person should present for about 5 minutes. 
  • Do not read during your presentation. 
  • PowerPoint and a cheat sheet/cue cards are allowed. (10 words maximum)
  • You will stand in front of the classroom while presenting.

- A title slide 
- A contents page 
- Information about the internship
- A final conclusion slide
- A question slide

- Delivery (40%), 
- Visual aids (10%), 
- Creativity & Engagement (10%)

  • Marks will be returned in the week after the final presentations.

General tips:
  • Keep it simple: use short, clear sentences
  • Practice aloud at home
  • Make eye contact and smile
  • Use of visuals is helpful (pictures, slides, etc.)
