Then we have the entire time to finish book 3.

Lesson aims

At the end of the lesson you:

- know what a passive or active sentence is.

- can change a few sentences from active to passive.

Wat denk je dat een actieve zin is?

Grammar

Bij een actieve zin ligt de nadruk op de wie het doet.

Bij een passieve zin ligt de nadruk op de actie zelf.

"I am walking the dog." <-- actief

"The dog is being walked (by me.)" <-- passief

Is de volgende zin actief en passief?
"She is completely stunned!"

"My aunt is a real daredevil."

Tip

Vaak zegt het stukje (by me) of het passive is, maar deze mag je weglaten! 

Changing from active to passive.

Stap 1: identificeer welke tijd:

Present simple

present continuous

past simple

Stap 2: verwissel het onderwerp met het lijdend voorwerp.

Stap 3: pas de grammatica aan.

present simple = to be + vtd.

Present continuous = to be + being + (ww+ing)

Past simple = to be + vtd.

Dan mag de rest van de zin er ook achter:

I am working on my project

2. Right now, they are playing soccer in the park.

5. At the moment, she is cooking dinner.
