Adjective = bijvoeglijke naamwoord zegt iets over een zelfstandig naamwoord.
She is a beautiful girl.

Adverbs = bijwoord zegt iets over een werkwoord. (+ly) - HOE?
She sings beautifully.

Van een bijvoeglijk naamwoord (adjective) maak je het bijwoord (adverb) op deze manier: 

Honest - Honestly
Brave - Bravely
Hopeful - Hopefully

Tom wakes up (slow / slowly) on Saturday morning. He feels (happy / happily) because it is the weekend. The sun is shining (bright / brightly) in the sky.
He puts on his shoes (quick / quickly) and runs outside. The wind blows (soft / softly). The flowers in the garden smell (nice / nicely).
Tom sees a dog. It looks (friendly / friendlyly) and wags its tail. Tom smiles (wide / widely) and pets the dog.
Later, he goes home and eats a (tasty / tastily) sandwich. He chews it (loud / loudly) because he is very hungry.
Tom had a (good / well) day!

Om een vraagzin te maken zet je het woordje 'did' vooraan in de zin. de rest blijft gewoon hetzelfde.
