links = left

naar links = to the left

aan de linkerkant = on the lefthand side

rechts = right

naar rechts = to the right

aan de linkerkant = on the lefthand side

rechtdoor = straight ahead

steek de straat over = cross the street

de trap op = up the stairs

de trap af = down the stairs

kijk om je heen = look around

Er is een dierenwinkel aan de linkerkant

Kijk om je heen, en ga rechtdoor

Ga naar rechts, dan is daar een kerk
