STRUCTURE:
  • Introduction: state why you are writing the letter
  • Body: elaborate on why you're writing the letter.
  • Conclusion/closing lines: I hope that .../ I look forward to ...

  • use signal words/linking words (conjunctions!);
  • Skip a line between paragraphs.

Assignment:
In January this year you made two New Year's resolutions (think of two). You shared them with your friend (think of a nice name). Now, we are in April. You write a letter to your friend in which you share with them how you got on with your resolutions. 

1. Choose audience and tone  =  friend - informal
2. Think of two resolutions that you wish to include.

4. Write one paragraph in which you evaluate your experiences with resolution no. 1.  (70 words)

6. Write your conclusion: what do you expect from your reader, any hopes you wish to express? (35 words)
