Starting a polite conversation
If you want to start a polite conversation with someone you don't know, you can begin by greeting the person with "Good morning / afternoon / evening, Madam /  Sir", followed by a question such as: 'Do you have a moment?', 'May I have a moment of your time?' or 'Could I ask you something?'
