Ganges Plain: Wide and flat landscape by river Ganges. Of the three Indians live there. Very fertile!
Thar desert in north west part: dry!

4. Deccan plateau: Flat area above 500 metres. Little rain, area in the rain shadow of mountain range across the west coast. Landscape mostly savannah and steppes.
