Past simple form

• Add -ed: want -> wanted

• Add -d: like -> liked

• Add -ied: study -> studied

• Irregular: go -> went

the verb to be has two forms in the past simple

Talk about finished actions at a specific moment in the past

When:

1. When something happened in the past for a longer period of time.
