Mind the differences:
1. You use the present perfect continuous to express that something has been going on for quite some time and up until now (In Dutch we often use 'al')
I have been sending emails all morning!
Tom has been doing his homework for hours now!

Slide 6 - Diapositive

2. You don't use the present perfect continuous for verbs that describe states (e.g. like, love, have, seem and know):
I have known him for years.
Mary has loved him for ever.

3. We don't use the present perfect continuous when we state an exact number of times we have done the action.
