OVERFISHING KRILL

This course provides five lessons on Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated fishing activity the impacts it has and the regulatory/legal framework protecting the ocean.  The aim is to learn about the impacts of IUU on the ocean ecosystem and humans and start to understand some of the activities being undertaken to tackle illegal fishing.

Lesson 2 - How does krill fit into the ocean ecosystem?

This lesson covers the role of krill in the ocean ecosystem.

Lesson 3 - How and where is krill fished?

This lesson discusses the methods of catching krill.

Lesson 4 - How is krill used?

This lesson covers the reasons why krill is caught and what it is used for.

Lesson 5 - What are the alternatives?

This lesson will have students explore the different alternatives to krill.
