Idioms and slang / Literature and film / History and traditions / 

Dialects and accents / English as a global language / Popular culture / Business and politics / Education / Topic of your own choice related to English language, culture and history

💡 Tips for a great recording

✅ Speak loud and clear so everyone can understand.

✅ Use expression—don’t sound boring!

✅ Listen & react to each other. Ask extra questions!

✅ Keep it conversational, not just reading from a script.

The podcast: keep in mind!

The assignment (individual):

1) Introduce the book (BRIEFLY)
2) Discuss the main characters in a CREATIVE way
3) Read your favourite passage + explain why
4) Analyse the theme(s) of the book
5) Recommend the book (or not)

The presentation is around 5 minutes (so: between 4 - 6)

Some character introduction ideas

🧠 Inside My Mind: Thought Bubbles

Present what the character might be thinking in different scenes. Can be live performance or written/visual slides.

🧳 Character Suitcase

Show items the character would carry in a suitcase or backpack, and explain what each one represents about them.

🏆 Character Awards Ceremony

Give each character an award (e.g., “Most Likely to Start a Revolution” or “Worst Boyfriend of the Year”) and explain why

📱 Character Social Media Profile

Create an Instagram or TikTok profile or post + explain

🎨 Character Moodboard or Pinterest Board

Present images, colours, quotes, and items that capture the character’s personality and journey + explain

Draw a (literal or metaphorical) map showing the character’s development throughout the book + explain
