Work in pairs. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each of the ways of promoting products and how effective you think each one would be.

Situation
You work for an advertising company and have
been asked to come up with an advertising campaign for a
new product or service. So far, your company has come up
with four possible mottos for this product, which you will see
on your card.

Task
In your team discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each motto on your card, using language of
agreement and disagreement where relevant. 
If you are not happy with any of the mottos, you can make up your own.  
Then you are going to promote your product and campaign to the rest of the class.

Follow this structure.
 • What is the product?
 • What type of message do you want to convey with your product?
 • Who is your target market?
 • What types of advertising will be used to promote the product?
 • Why is this the best type of advertising for the product?
 • What is the motto and why have you chosen it?
 In your group,  decide who is going to say what during the presentation

Do the pitch and give feedback
Listen to all pitches.
Award 1 to 5 points for each team  based on how persuasive you thought the advertising pitch was :
5 = very persuasive, 1 = not at all persuasive.
The team with most points wins.
