I understand the difference between the zero and first conditional.

 Match beginnings and endings so that the meaning is plausible:

If you heat ice,                                  you get wet.

Zero Conditional

De 'zero conditional' wordt gebruikt om te zeggen dat iets een feit is, altijd zo gebeurt. Een actie geeft altijd een reactie:

If you heat ice, it melts.

You get wet if it rains.

present simple + if + present simple

First Conditional

If it is nice weather this weekend, I will go to the beach.

I will go to the beach if it is nice weather this weekend.

De 'first conditional' wordt gebruikt om te praten over situaties die mogelijk kunnen gebeuren (nu of in de toekomst) als er aan de voorwaarde voldaan wordt.
