We use used to to talk about things in the past that aren't true anymore.

The form: onderwerp + used to + infinitive (stam werkwoord)

  • John and Vicky used to be married.
  • I used to have two dogs.
  • She used to live in London.
  • When I was 6 years old I used to swim twice a week.
