What would they say!?
You are able to look at statements from different perspectives and provide explanation.

If I ruled the world
Think about what you would do if you ruled the world.
Stand in a circle (groups of 6 or one big circle)
Student A starts by saying the sentence: If I ruled the world, I ... (finish by stating what you would do)
Student to the left asks: why?
Student A explains why (try to convince everyone why it is such a good idea)
Who was able to convince everyone?

Look at the statement(s). Think of all the reasons to disagree with it.
Practise statement: Vegetables aren't healthy.
We should always obey the law.
Lying is always wrong
We should never hurt animals
Fruit is always healthy

Opening statement
A brief but comprehensive summary of the main point or argument you'll be making.
Listen carefully to the next speaker:
How does he start this debate?
What does he provide during the explanation of his argument?
What does he say about the opposition?

Form pairs and sit in groups of 6
You will get to see a statement
One pair will present the statement so it sounds good
One pair will present the statement so it sounds bad
The third pair will provide feedback
Example:

London is a big city
P1:
London is a big, multicultural, thriving city
P2:
London is a big, dangerous, noisy city

What would they say!?
You're going to look at a statement from someone else's perspective.
Teacher will give you a number (1 - 4), find classmates with the same number, sit/ stand together.
The number = specific group of people.
Each round you will see a statement and certain groups of people corresponding to the number you received
Look at the statement from your group's perspective. Discuss what a "stakeholder" of the group would say. (

Pick one person to share your statement.
