What are we going to learn today?
Today we will learn:
Where the exchange of CO2 and oxygen take place.
How this exhange happens.
In which ways we can breath.

Slide 8 - Diapositive

Alveoli
Around your alveoli are tiny blood vessels, which are only one cell thick. These are called capillaries. Blood that goes to your alveoli don't have much oxygen but have a lot of CO2. When it passes the alveoli it will give CO2 to the alveoli and takes oxygen.
This process is called gas exchange.

Differences in air that you breathe in and out

Slide 10 - Diapositive

Chest breathing
We breathe using two methods. The first one is called chest breathing. While doing that, we contract our intercostal muscles, squeezing the air out of our lungs. When they relax, we breathe in again due to a difference in air pressure in and out of our lungs.

Abdominal breathing
Sometimes you also see your belly move when you breathe, this is due to abdominal breathing. Your diaphragm moves up and down. Squeezing out your lungs and creating positive and negative air pressure within your lungs.
You see your belly move because the diaphragm moves your organs while doing this.
