In this lesson you are going to talk 

about a man building his own swimming pool.

In this lesson you'll learn what chunks are and how to use them

Let's start with chunks

When you speak you make language

You can do this word for word (vocabulary)

Or you can use phrases or whole sentences,

you already have learnt

Examples of chunks:

I don't know

What do you say?

Can you tell me...

Hello, my name is...

These are sentences you can learn by heart and you can always use them.

You are going to watch a clip about what you can do when you do it step by step.

After the clip you can work with your neighbour to prepare to talk about this.

'Prepare' means :

1 Find answers to the questions on the next slide

2 make your own questions

Describe three phases (for instance: First he digs a great hole in the ground. Secondly he makes a stair)

Some chunks to use:

He doesn't rest very much....

Here are the questions to help you:

Now work together with your peer and prepare to speak.
