Written Portfolio

• Grade based on 8 assignments

• Deadlines in Gradework: 

          Chance 1:  7 June at 12.00 noon
          Chance 2:  28 June at 12.00 noon

Final grade English 1.4 

Semester 2 (P3 & P4) grade consists of:
          - 30% Oral exam term 1.3  (at least 5,5)
          - 70% Written portfolio 1.4 (at least 5,5)

Semester 2 = 4 ECs. 

Portfolio = 8 assignments

You will be assessed on 1 or 2 assignments.

You will discover which assignment(s) are assessed after the deadline in Gradework has passed.

The final assessment will be for a portion of the portfolio. Before you hand it in, you will not know which part(s) will be used to assess your work. The English team will decide which writing assignments will be assessed and announce this after the deadline in Gradework has passed.

Register also refers to formal, informal or neutral language

• To add ideas (toevoegen van een idee)
• To explain ideas (uitleggen van iets)
  
• To show cause and effect (oorzaak en gevolg)
  
•  To show contrast / compare (tegenstelling en vergelijking)
  
• To put ideas in order (in volgorde zetten)
  
• To show conclusion (een conclusie/gevolgtrekking laten zien)
  

Linking words (verbindingswoorden) and phrases are used to show relationships between ideas. They can be used to join 2 or more sentences or clauses. (A clause is a group of words which contains a subject and a verb).
