Persuasive writing is a piece of writing in which you try to convince the reader of your opinion.

Work in pairs

Work with your neighbour. Take a look at the statements on the next slide and pick one.

You can work together, but both of you have to type in your answers in LessonUp.

Decide whether you are for or against the statement you have chosen and note this down below, please.

Find information about your statement on the internet.

You are going to look for arguments to convince your reader of your statement/point of view. Try to investigate both sides of your argument, as this will broaden your understanding of the topic. 

Then pick the best 3 arguments to argue your point of view and note these down in the next slide.
