There are many ways to scaffold different subjects, based on the content you are covering. Many of these are very subject, content and contextually specific.

Here we will look at one example for descriptive writing in English. For KS3.

We will provide our students with a spinner of sentence starters for them to use on their first and second attempt at writing. We can then reduce the options on the spinner, or remove the spinner entirely in future lessons.
