What is it?

The 60-second post-it activity involves students jotting down as much as they can on a 'digital post-it' within a minute. The limited time encourages them to focus on the most crucial points. This method, especially when used regularly, helps students identify what information has truly resonated with them.

How can you use it?

 Typically, this method is employed at the end of a lesson to reflect on the key learnings and objectives. However, it's versatile enough to be used at any point during the learning process, making it an effective tool for formative assessment, similar to other exit tickets. The 60-second post-it is also excellent for brainstorming, whether by students or teachers.

Consider using this method to connect the learning objective to the students' lives. Encourage them to explore how they see the connection, what words they associate with it, and how their responses compare with their peers'.

You can implement this as an open question or a word cloud in LessonUp, allowing you to gather all responses in one place. After the lesson, these can be reviewed in the reports. Alternatively, you can distribute actual post-its and use a timer on your slide.
