I have assigned this group of students a consolidation video (made by the teacher) of the key theme. The students can watch this video and complete notes from the consolidation and their own understanding on the topic. By combining the video with their own pre-reading, they should be able to produce a convincing argument that their theme is 'most important' in relation to the subject.
I have assigned you one of the key themes from Macbeth:
consolidate notes on why this may be the 'most important' theme.
We will be discussing this on Thursday, in groups.
When the students have consolidated their notes, using the abundant resources I have provided for them, not only will they build confidence in their own understanding (which they have been trusted to compound at their own pace) but they also open other peers up to consider new ideas and points of view on the subject matter, with minimal teacher input thus far.
