Instructions

What is it?
In this learning method, students first have to spell a word, concept, person, or event, and then they have to correctly explain the word or use it in a proper sentence or context.

How do you use it?
You can use this teaching method effectively in modern foreign languages and subjects involving specific topics. However, as an expert within your own field, you'll notice that this approach can be applied to all subjects that involve words or concepts. For instance, in chemistry, you can use it for the periodic table of elements, where students have to provide the atomic number. Similarly, in mathematics, you can present a mathematical concept and then have students explain how it is used.
