About the Lesson Library

In the LessonUp Lesson Library, you can find more than 1.5 million lessons created by teachers, education specialists and cultural organisations. Use the filters to discover relevant lessons for your subject.

πŸ“Ή In this video, Claire gives you a short tour of the Lesson Library.

Whose lessons are in the Lesson Library?

Most of the lessons in the Lesson Library are created by teachers who use LessonUp. Due to privacy reasons, you cannot see who created the lessons.
Lessons with a yellow label are created by channels. Channels are educational and/or cultural organisations that offer LessonUp lessons to their public. Many of these lessons are for free. You can filter channel lessons by applying the 'Lesson from channel' filter.

How do I customiSe lesson material created by others?

The lesson library is the ideal place to draw inspiration. It's understandable that you don't want to blindly copy a lesson. That's why there is the option to save a copy of the lesson you are interested in to your LessonUp account before you teach it.
You can customise the lesson according to your own preferences. For instance, you could create a new lesson by combining elements from 3 different lessons from the Lesson Library. You can also supplement your lesson with playful interactive slides copied from another lesson. You don't have to reinvent the wheel.

WHO CAN SEE AND USE MY LESSONS?

When you create a LessonUp lesson, it automatically appears in the Lesson Library. Everyone with a teacher account in LessonUp has access to the Lesson Library, yet students do not have access to it. If you lock your lesson, it will not be visible in the Lesson Library. You can set this up in the lesson settings (read more).

With a pro or school subscription, you can also find assessments created by other teachers in the Lesson Library. However, during the 30-day trial period it is not possible to access assessments by other teachers in the lesson library. We have set this up to prevent students from creating teacher accounts and accessing teachers' assessments.
