What you will learn: how to use vouchers to make closed learning materials accessible

Are you using closed material (through vouchers) for the first time or do you want to make important changes? Please contact us at support@lessonup.com.

To create vouchers, a product needs to be in a folder. This works as follows:

Place an empty folder in the red publication folder.
Indicate via the LessonUp chat or by e-mail (support@lessonup.com) which folder the product should go in.
The staff member will then let you know when the folder is locked.
Next, fill the folder with lessons and create the voucher codes.

💡 Tip: all subfolders that fall under the 'voucher folder' are visible to the user with the corresponding voucher code.

Log into LessonUp and click your name in the top-right corner to open 'Settings'.
Click on the appropriate organisation.
Then click on the 'Voucher' tab.
Click on the red 'New voucher' button.
Fill in the following details:
- Number of times to use
- Description (e.g. the name of the school/user)
- Unique reference (optional)
- Validity (Choose: 'until expiry date')
- Product: which folders the user can access with this code
Click on 'Create voucher'.
Share the voucher code with the user.

Vouchers are codes that allow authorised users (e.g. (guest) teachers) access to closed learning materials.

This image shows two folders of the Ancient Truth in Modern Times channel. The lessons under the right folder are publicly accessible. The folder on the left has a lock. The lock indicates that there is a product in the folder and that the lesson material can only be accessed with a voucher code.

Once the user is in possession of a voucher code, they can redeem it here: https://www.lessonup.com/en/voucher.

The user will then have access to the folder containing the learning material during the set period.

After redeeming a voucher, the user should go to My LessonUp > Channels, where all folders with access via the voucher can be found.
Once a voucher has expired, the corresponding product disappears from the user's overview and the lessons, including copies, are no longer available.
