Greeting: Dear, Hi, Hello, Hey - anything is possible

Abbreviations (DIY) & contractions (you're) allowed.

Ending: Love, kisses, Regards

PSA: You're still writing for school so keep it clean.

Formal writing

Specific salutations (greetings)

Always start with DEAR

Dear sir/madam / Dear reader - person unknown

Male reader - Mr

Female reader - Miss, Ms, Mrs

Gender neutral - full name & no title

Introduction

Clearly state reason for writing

Example:

I'm writing because....

Body

- use ordinal words for structure (first, first of all

- KISS = keep it short & simple

Ending

Use closing lines like:

- I look forward to your reply.

- Thank you in advance.

Signature

Use a final greeting like:

- Yours sincerely, Best wishes, Kind regards

Use your full name after the greeting:
