Voorzetsel + whom --> Betekent: waamee/met wie, waarover/over wie, etc.

  • Lynn is the girl about whom I have told you.

-  Bijvoegelijke naamwoorden: zeggen iets over een zelfstandig naamwoord:

- Bijwoorden : Zeggen iets over werkwoorden, bijvoegelijke naamwoorden, en andere  bijwoorden 

  • she drove carefully
  • it rained heavily,
  • incredibly quickly
  • surprisingly easy

Adverbs maak je MEESTAL door -ly achter het bijvoeglijk naamwoord te zetten (quick --> quickly; careful-- > carefully)

Terrific --> ically --> The report has been terrifically written.
horrible--> bly --> The report has been horribly written.
easy --> ily --> He has easily won.

Uitzonderingen

- Een aantal adverbs maak je niet met -ly: 
   good > well          the good dog, you did well
   fast > fast             the fast car, he ran fast                 ('hardly' =
   hard > hard          the hard test, he tried hard          nauwelijks)
