Since the industrial revolution, the average temperature rise in Europe has been higher than other parts of the world.

Consequences for Europe:
  • glaciers melt, less surface covered with snow
  • more people die from high temperatures
  • new insects and diseases
  • less agricultural land and water
  • political tensions
