The setting is where the story takes place. The Magic Paintbrush begins in a small village.

Let’s Retell the Beginning

Think about what happens first in the story. Use words like First, Then, and Next to retell the beginning in order.

Story Language

We use special words like Once upon a time, Suddenly, and At last when we retell stories. Try using these in your sentences.
