Reading techniques
  1. Skimming: understanding the main idea
  2. Scanning: look for key information (for example: names, dates, numbers.
  3. Intensive reading: read and understand the whole text.

  1. Read the title 
  2. Read the introduction 
  3. Search for the source (=bron) of your text
  4. Look at pictures / images 
  5. Look at bold or underlined words or words in italics.

  1. Read the title and subheadings (=tussenkopjes)
  2. Look for keywords that tell you more about what you are looking for in a text
