The Mission to Mars project

Slide 2 - Slide

Plan for today:
  • Introduction to the new project.
  • Start first assignments.

Slide 3 - Slide

Background:
We, humans, are living on Earth. We know what is necessary to live there. However, Earth is getting full and resources (like gas, oil, minerals, water) are limited.
It is therefore useful to explore if it is possible to live on a different planet.
Mars is the planet closest to Earth, and we know a great deal about it.
Using the knowledge and skills you have learned this year in Science, you need to explore how to live on Mars.

Slide 4 - Slide

Slide 5 - Video

Steps:

1. Describe the differences between Mars and Earth.
2. Investigate what makes Mars easier to live on or more difficult to live on.
3. Create solutions to the problems you will face on Mars.
4. Make a poster of your solutions.
