1) How does the energy from the sun get into our bodies?
  • Plants use the energy from the sun to grow using  photosynthesis.

  • This way energy from the sun gets stored in plants.

  •  When animals eat plants they use the energy stored in the plants to grow themselves.

  • Many trees and animals died over millions of years

  • As the surface of the earth changed they got buried under sediments such as mud, sand and earth.

  • This created massive amounts of pressur. Over time they were converted into fossil fuels.

    Renewable or green energy
    Renewable energy uses energy sources that are not "used up". For example, solar power from the sun is renewable as we can use it  again and again.  Examples of non-renewable energy sources include fossil fuels like coal and oil.
