Assignment
You are going to a have a discussion about a topic. 
You have to agree or disagree on a topic. 
Write down arguments why you would agree/disgree
Have a discussion with other classmates.
Record the discussion and hand it in at the end of class

We are going to prepare with vocab, stones and grammar first

Step 2:
Sort the words into a list about agreeing and a list about disagreeing.
Write the lists in your notebook.

Gerund

Uitleg:
Na bepaalde werkwoorden zet je 'ing' achter het volgende werkwoord.
Dit is vaak na: think, love, like, hate (of woorden die hetzelfde betekenen)
Het werkwoord er na is nu vaak een zelfstandig naamwoord geworden

uitleg:
Na andere bepaalde werkwoorden komt juist het hele werkwoord (to + ww)
Dit is na: want, hope, ask, expect, promise, decide, plan, refuse

Gerund: I hate sitting still all day.
Infinitive: I refuse to sit still all day
                    She asks me to help her with her homework.

Discussion Assignment
Team up with a classmate. You will get the role of: 
Worried parents (agree with ban) or Online Teen (disagree with ban)

Step 1:
Together write down 10 English sentences about expressing your opinion, why you agree/disagree and how to get support for your opinion. Use stone 2 (page 62), theme words (page 74) and the Gerund in your sentences. (You can google extra information if neccessary)

Step 2: Team up with a different pair (opposite opinion). Together, have the discussion and record your discussion.  Hand in through Teams Chat before end of class--> Make sure you type your names in the chat.

Closing Lesson
Exit ticket on Gerund and infinitive:
Fill the right form of the verb:
