Lesson 2.1 - Ions

Slide 1 - Slide

             Learning Intention:

What? We are learning how atoms loses, gains, or shares electrons.
Why?  In order to better understand how chemical bonds.
             Success Criteria

I can:
- Predict, describe, & illustrate which elements gain or lose electrons.
- Identify the oxidation (charge) number of groups on the PT.
- Identify Ions as Cation or Anion.

Charges are known as oxidation numbers.
Cations are METALS
Anions are Nonmetals
