Something happened, not important when:
We have finished all our homework .
Something happened and is still going, has impact or is visible:
I've been here since the third period.                                         --> Since, for, in
She's drank too much. That's why she has a hangover.        --> Result
They've just painted their fence.                                                  --> just, yet, lately

Negative:
Add 'not' after 'have/has'
Question:
