Adjectives

Adjective is een bijvoeglijk naamwoord.
Het zegt iets over het zelfstandig naamwoord.

1. Frank is a good singer 

2. My brother is a careful driver.

Adverbs

Adverbs zijn bijwoorden. Ze beschrijven andere woorden. 

1. Een werkwoord
Frank sings well
2. Een bijvoeglijk naamwoord
A terribly beautiful car
3. Een ander bijwoord
She sings extremely beautifully
4. De hele zin
Frankly, I don’t like grammar at all

-ly

De meeste bijwoorden/adverbs vorm je door er -ly aan toe te voegen.

Beautiful - beautifully

Soms verandert de spelling van een woord. 

Terrible - terribly

Easy - easily

Uitzondering

The adverb for good is  well - 
She's a good performer. She performs well.
