What do you already know about demonstrative words?

Learning Objective

At the end of the lesson you will be able to use and understand 'this', 'that', 'these', and 'those' for beginner English conversations.

What Are Demonstratives?

'This', 'that', 'these', and 'those' help us talk about things and how close they are to us.

Using 'This' and 'That'

'This' is for one thing close to you. 'That' is for one thing far from you. Example: This is a book; That is a chair.

Using 'These' and 'Those'

'These' is for many things close to you. 'Those' is for many things far from you. Example: These are pens; Those are bags.
