Your strategy should address both inbound and domestic tourism to maximise economic and cultural benefit.
1. Conduct a situational analysis of the current state of Ireland’s tourism industry. Examine statistical data, trends and recent developments in both inbound and domestic tourism.
2. Identify and profile the key target markets for inbound and domestic tourism. Consider demographics, psychographics and travel preferences.
Develop a strategy that addresses the following;
3. Marketing and promotion – propose a strategy for promoting Ireland as a destination for inbound and domestic tourists
4. Infrastructure and Accessibility – suggest improvements in transportation, accommodation and tourist facilities
5. Cultural and Sustainable Tourism – recommend initiatives to promote cultural experiences and sustainable tourism practices
o Monitoring and Evaluation – propose key performance indictors (KPIs) to measure the success of your strategy as well as a plan for ongoing evaluation.
