  • The following is a link to Madi's CV. Think about the ways that she has categorised her different experiences.
  • It is best to put the most recent qualification/experience first.
  • It is good to write a summary of your skills at the start in case your audience has limited time.

CV Writing Tips
Your CV should be Neat, accurate & attractive.

People in the Film industry will expect links to Vimeo/ Linked in/Facebook pages & digital portfolio etc. 

Keep other web pages/ content up to date, focused on relevant & appropriate content.

Making your CV

  • Research examples online & keep your design simple.
  • Adapt ready made Templates on Canva or Microsoft Word. 
  • You could also generate an original CV on Adobe in design. 
  • If you are printing your CV- Make QR Codes.  
  • Get your CV spell checked & bounce your CV past a friend!

The following link is for a portfolio that Madi recently made for an interview at a post Grad Certificate: 

It was aimed at a creative course which called for practical creative skills, Film experience  & collaborative experience. 

Review it and reflect on why it was appropriate for it's purpose.

The Job Interview
Mock interviews help you prepare for real interviews. They can build your confidence, body language, eye contact and ability to talk to a variety of people. 

You will learn the STAR interview Method to give you a toolkit to answer interview questions well. 

Madi used this in many interviews & found it very useful.

Questions to get you started: 
  1. Tell me about a time that you had a success
  2. Do you have experience of working in a team? 
  3. Do you have experience working on a film/or script/ or edit etc.
Think of some of your own and take turns interviewing each other. If you feel brave, ask your friend to record you and observe your body language and eye contact!
