2. To be + going to + verb

Form: will + verb
Ex. I will/shall, you'll they will not (=won't) go
For I and we -> you can also use shall
But in a question you have to use shall: Shall we start? 

When: for spontaneous, non=planned actions (such as an offer, a promise or a prediction) and general references to the future

  1.  We shall help you with the dishes. (offer)
  2. I will call Patrick tomorrow. (promise)
  3. The concert will start in 5 minutes. (announcement)
  4. Alicia will become a teacher. (general reference to the future)

Form: am/are/is + going to + verb 

When? 
  1. to say what someone is planning to do (intentie)
  2. for things that will certainly happen

    Example: Watch out! Those books are going to fall!

SOME (-body,-thing,-where):
1. in positive (normal) sentences -> I need to buy some bread

2. In questions when you expect the answer to be yes or
offers and requests -> Would you like some ice cream?
ANY (-body,-thing,-where): 
1. in negative sentences -> We haven't got any crisps   


2. in questions that you don't know the answer to -> Is anybody there?
