Theme 1: Back In Time

Verleden tijd van zijne - past simple of to be

voorzetsels van tijd - prepositions of time

Past simple of to be

Je gebruikt de past simple om te zeggen dat iets in het verleden is gebeurd en nu is afgelopen

Past simple of to be

Vragen: 

Kim was at the party --> Was Kim at the party?

Ontkenningen: 

Kim was at the party --> Kim wasn't at the party

... we too late?

I ... very shy when I was young.

My father ... a car salesman.

My parents ... very tall.

They ... very annoying all the time.

Maak vragend: Yesterday, I was in Utrecht.

Maak ontkennend: Yesterday, I was in Utrecht.

Past simple

Regelmatige werkwoorden = hele ww + ed

Uitzonderingen: 

• Medeklinker + y = ied --> study = studied
• Korte klinker + medeklinker = verdubbeling medeklinker --> grab = grabbed

Past simple

Onregelmatige werkwoorden = LIJST LEREN!!!! (zie week 6)

Voorbeelden:

• write = wrote
• go = went

Past simple

Vragen (als er geen to be in de zin staat): 

I went to the supermarket = Did I go to the supermarket?

Ontkenningen (als er geen to be in de zin staat): 

I went to the supermarket = I didn't go to the supermarket.

You ... (run) away all of a sudden.

It ... (stop) working last night.

Jayden ... (try) to call her yesterday.

We ... (swim) to the other side of the lake.

Maak vragend:
Aiza cleaned her room.

Maak vragend:

Maak ontkennend:
They found a mummy in the pyramid.

Maak ontkennend:

Prepositions of time

Je gebruikt in, on & at om te vertellen wanneer iets gebeurt

in = jaren, maanden, seizoenen, dagdelen

on = dagen & data

at = tijdsaanduidingen

--> vaste uitdrukkingen = at the weekend, at Christmas, at the same time

I play volleyball ... Friday.
