- What does a vlog structure look like ?

1. Introduction (who you are)

2. Topic (what are you going to talk about?)

3. Structure (beginning – middle – end)

4. Audience focus (who do you speak to?)

Assignment 1

Step 1: 

Verdeel de volgende rollen binnen je groepje: 

- Leader: keeps the group on task

- Note-taker: writes down the vlog structure

- Time-keeper: watches the time & keeps the group moving

- Vocabulary-helper: looks up difficult English words

Search: “How to make a vlog”

Answer these questions: 

- What steps do you need to follow?

- What makes a vlog interesting?

- What kind of equipment do you need?

- How long should a vlog be?

*Noteer Engelse woorden/zinnen die handig zijn voor je eigen vlog later.

Step 3: 

Zoek 2 bekende Engelse vlogs op YouTube

--> Verschillende soorten vlogs (bijv. reisvlog, lifestyle, informatief, grappig)

Beantwoord de vragen: 

- What is the topic?

- How does the vlogger speak? (fast/slow, funny/serious?)

- What kind of intro and ending do they use?

- What do they show on screen?

- What can you learn from this vlog?

Assignment 1 

Step 4: 

- Write down 5 tips for making a good vlog (in English)

-  Describe 1 vlog that you like

2 minute break

Eisen van de vlog opdracht

The vlog has to be at least 2 to 3 minutes in total (cooking vlog = 15 min max).

You have to choose between 3 topics:

1. A memorable moment in your life

2. A book review on The boy in the Tower

3. Make a cooking vlog about something you like to cook/bake (not only let me see the cooking/baking, but also explain what you are doing).

Hoe vloeiend je spreekt (gebruik geen spiekbriefje)

Assignment 2 

Step 1: Kies je optie  

Step 2: Deel je idee met je groepje 

-Pitch je idee in 1 minuut binnen je groepje

- Geef elkaar tips! 

Assignment 2

Step 3: 

Schrijf de intro van je vlog 

- Voorbeeld: “Hi, my name is ___. Today I want to talk about ___. I chose this because ___.”

Done?

- Help een groepsgenoot met hun intro

- Voeg een zin toe over wat je gaat laten zien in de vlog

- Oefen je intro!
