VWO plus lesson English

• We make lesson by the principle " help on demand"
• Not every lesson, but as often as possible
• Only the  English lesson is given in English  , but we do give "fast-lane English".

Goals:

• take responsibility
• get only the help you need-determine your own learning route.
• trigger curiosity- makes lesson more fun

Programme

• Today we will do one or two exercises. 
• All are speaking exercises.
  
• First, we will watch a video from a movie. There will be no sound. 
• Watch the video and try to guess what the characters are saying
• Help on demand
• At the end some student are ask to speak out loud the scene.
• Than we will discuss the difficulties.
• If time left: we do the some exercise with pictures

The exercise 

• First, we will watch a video from a movie. 
• There will be no sound. 
• Watch the video and try to guess what the characters are saying. 
• You can do it alone or with your parents.
• Think about the fun factor !  How do the characters say it  (dark voice, high voice, grumpy, etc, not to soft!! ),
• Result: At the end, the teacher asks you to say  5-6 sentences  from the scene.

Help on demand (1)

• It can help to write some key-word first in dutch.
• Determine which english words are necessary . 
• Use google-translate (translate.google.com) or  a dictionary
• Write down the English Key-words
•  make complete sentences
• Think about how you can pronounce the sentences (grammar, tone of funny-voice)
