How to study this?
- make sure you have a firm understanding of past and present
- of simple, perfect, and continuous
BECAUSE
- you need to know the auxiliary verbs (hulpwerkwoorden)
passive = auxiliary +  to be + verb (past particple)
- to be: does your tense need an infinitive (ik-vorm), a past, or a participle (3e rijtje ww)?

Slide 16 - Slide

- present simple (no aux)
- present continuous (aux = to be + ing)
- present perfect (aux = have + participle)
- past simple (no aux)
- past continuous (aux = was/were + ing)

Grammar is a formula, just put the right item in the correct box

Slide 17 - Slide

Words                                    are                          written
- present continuous (aux = to be + ing)
Words  are                            being                      written
- present perfect (aux = have + participle)
Words have                           been                     written
- past simple (no aux)
Words                                       were                   written
- past continuous (aux = was/were + ing)
Words were                               being                    written
