Conjunctions = connectors = linkers
They connect 2 ideas in a sentence:
Bastiaan was laughing because Daan shared a joke.
Ms D enjoys listening to true crime podcasts and taking care of her plants.

  • now, we will learn some TIME conjunctions

Time Conjunctions 
When, after, before, until, since, while, once, as and as soon as are subordinating conjunctions which can be used to connect an action or an event to a point in time.

Time conjunctions 
You used one in our First Conditional lesson:
  • IF (TC) : You will finish this project on time if you plan well.      
  • unless (= if not): You won't finish this project unless you plan well.
                                     =  You won't finish this project if you don't plan well.
  • Common time conjunctions = before, after, when & as soon as:
  • When you don't apply the grammar, you won't get a good grade.
    Before
    she hands in the project, she will ask for feedback.
    As soon as we get the studiewijzer, we will make a plan.
    After I see you try, I will help you.  -> I will help you after I see you try.
