Wanneer gebruik je welke?

Bij plaatsen, landen en dingen gebruik je het woordje 'of' bijvoorbeeld:

the countryside of the Netherlands

 the centre of Leeuwarden

a glass of orange juice

Welke possessive is goed geschreven?
De honden van de jongens

1. The boys' dogs
2. The boy's dogs

Welke "Possessive" is GOED geschreven?

1. This is Marys' car.
2. This is Mary's car.
3. This is Marys's car.
4. This is Marys car.

Wat is de juiste vertaling van:

De ramen van het gebouw zijn dicht?

1. The windows of the building are closed.
2. The buildings windows are closed.
3. The buildings's windows are closed.
4. The buildings' windows are closed.

       Wat zijn voegwoorden?

Voegwoorden zijn woorden die twee of meer woorden, zinsdelen of hele zinnen aan elkaar plakken:

He likes cats and dogs.   I can't do my homework because it's too difficult. 

Met een voegwoord geef je aan wat de relatie/verband is tussen die twee dingen: and - opsomming; because - reden
