Like or as

Like gebruik je als het erop lijkt, maar het niet is.

It smells like honey

(but it is a flower, not honey)

As gebruik je als het net zoals iets anders is ( dus gelijk):

It rains a lot in Austria as it does in The Netherlands

(het regent dus in beide landen veel)
