Passive voice (to be + past participle)
The emphasis or focus is on the action, while the subject is not known or is less important.
She invites me to her birthday party. - I am invited to her birthday party.
We cleaned the tables every day. - The tables were cleaned every day (by us).

What is the past participle?

Regular verbs:
verb without to + -ed

to play => played
to cook => cooked
to clean => cleaned





Irregular verbs:
