Fun with Counting and Addition!

What do you already know about counting and adding?

Learning Objective

At the end of the lesson you will be able to count objects, add numbers together, and use sounds or movements to practise addition.

What is Counting?

Counting means saying numbers in order while matching them to objects, actions, or sounds around us.

Adding with Objects

We can use blocks, toys, or other things to add. Place two groups together and count them all to find the answer.

Invisible Counting

You can count things you cannot see, like claps, clicks, or jumps. Feel free to make sounds and count aloud!

Let's Practise Adding

Clap 4 times, then clap 3 more times. Count all claps together!

Adding Sounds

Put 3 toy cars on the table. Add 2 more. How many are there now?
