Emma likes animals. She has a cat and a dog. The cat is black and white. Its name is Lily. The dog is brown. Its name is Max. Every morning, Emma gives food to Lily and Max. Then she takes Max for a walk in the park. Lily stays at home and sleeps on the sofa. Emma loves her pets very much.

Last Saturday, Tom decided to bake a cake for his mother's birthday. He found a recipe online and bought all the ingredients: flour, eggs, sugar, and chocolate. While he was mixing the ingredients in the kitchen, his phone rang. It was his best friend. Tom talked for ten minutes and forgot about the cake. Suddenly, he smelled something burning. He ran to the kitchen, but it was too late. The cake was black. His mother laughed and said, "It's the thought that counts!"
